VOLUNTEER

We all have a passion in life – something that makes us feel worthwhile, good deep inside! Sadly most of us don’t get paid for what we love most so we have “regular “ jobs to make a living. But what life is really about is what we love! Volunteering can bring that passion back into your life! When you become a volunteer with Stealing Hearts Rescue you become a part of the “big picture” – saving dogs lives! You are helping dogs that have been pulled off the euthanasia list(s) in high-kill County shelters find their forever homes. Pat yourself on the back – you are now a “Dog Hero” and nothing feels better than that! Knowing that YOU are the reason a shelter dog has been given a second chance at living happily-ever-after. Stealing Hearts volunteers play many roles from walking dogs, bathing dogs, snuggling puppies, day fosters, sitting at adoption events, fund raising, transporting dogs to vet appointments – and that’s just to name a few. If you have time, we have a job for you! If you don’t want to handle dogs directly, there are paperwork tasks and other things to fill up your time. One of the nice things about volunteering for SHR is that you don’t have to have a LOT of time, we only ask that you make a commitment and follow through. To become a volunteer with Stealing Hearts you will need to attend a short orientation and fill out a little paperwork – it’s that easy!
