Norman – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 2 yrs – male (55lbs)

Say hello to our handsome studmuffin, Norman! This beautiful boy was left in a backyard when his so-called “owner” moved away and didn’t take him. He was in that yard for ELEVEN days before the neighbor finally realized that the guy wasn’t coming back for him. 💔 Thankfully, she called Animal Control and he was taken to a county shelter. We spotted him there, looked into his pleading brown eyes, and just had to rescue him.

Norman is doing great with us and we’re learning that he’s so much fun! His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch – you will wear out your arm before he will tire of the game. He loves to go for walks, but is so excited for the adventure that he doesn’t mind his manners and he pulls the entire time. 😆 We know that with some training he will learn to walk like a polite boy because he has excellent manners in other situations. Norman knows quite a few basic commands and can already sit, shake, and lay down. Since being at our shelter, we have noticed that he’s a bit sensitive to loud noises when he’s walking but gets over it quickly. He has a few canine play buddies, but would also happily play with a tennis ball all day. Norman appears to be housebroken because he has no accidents in his kennel area. He’s athletic and a lot of fun to have around. If this big-headed boy sounds like a good fit for your life, please complete our application to bring Norman home!
