Ivy – American Bulldog mix – 3 yrs – Female (52lbs)

Please welcome our adorable mama, Ivy! This sweet girl was surrendered by her owners after giving birth to her twelve puppies. They lived in an apartment and said there was no room for all of them. 😖 Once again, the simple answer would have been to get her spayed. When she and her litter arrived at county, the pups were just two days old. A county shelter is definitely NOT a safe place for babies so they asked us to help. We swooped them up and took them straight to our “mama-foster” where Ivy and her pups enjoyed a quiet, safe place. Now Ivy is done being a mom and ready to live the happy-go-lucky life she was meant to live! 

Ivy is full of personality and what a big presence she has! She has lots of opinions and knows what she wants. She can even be chatty. 😂 Ivy doesn’t have accidents in her kennel so we believe she is housebroken. She enjoys lying in the sun, getting tummy rubs, and going for walks. She’s an easy walker after the first few minutes when the initial excitement wears off. Ivy adores humans and will lean into you to get close. She also has several canine playmates at our shelter. She can sometimes be a little bossy, but we think she’s earned that right. Ivy is happy, outgoing, and full of love!
