Darla – Staffordshire Terrier (Weimaraner) mix – 2yrs – female (45lbs)
Say hello to our darling little girl, Darla! This poor girl was the collateral damage in a divorce. You would think that one of the adults could have taken her, or even fought over who gets to keep her, but no. Darla was dumped at a county shelter and left without a family instead. She spent four months there and had had enough…she started having issues like spinning in her kennel and hurting herself by slamming her face into the cage. That’s when we were called. We were happy to help and rescue Darla from that stressful situation.
Darla is now at SHR shelter and she’s doing remarkably well! Our sweet girl is now able to relax and enjoy all the attention she can get…no more hurting herself, now she can heal. She loves to play with other dogs and has a number of play-buddies that she loves to wrestle. She’s very polite, easy to walk, and corrects well. We know she lived in a house and appears to be housebroken; she has no accidents in her kennel. Darla is happy, outgoing, and now that she’s out of the chaos of that county shelter, she’s turned into quite a goofball. Watching her be silly is so much fun! She’s also great with people of all ages. Darla is looking for a person or family that will commit to love and care for her no matter what changes in their life – we think she deserves that. In return, her new family will receive all the unconditional love they could ever need! If our little sweetheart seems like she’s the missing piece in your life, please complete our application to get the chance to make her your very own.
